(Part-1) Day 4 of Robert Griffin III-Jay Gruden dispute remains tragic.

When two relatively famous NFL figures, who are both attempting to make it big in the media, are put together, what do you get? Robert Griffin III and Jay Gruden's internet feud ended in a draw.

As of Thursday night, tweets were still rolling in from both sides as the former head coach and starting quarterback of the Washington Commanders began relitigating a specific era in club history on Monday.

To review, Gruden was the head coach of the Commanders from 2014 to 2019. During that time, the squad moved on from Griffin, who was plagued by injuries, to Kirk Cousins, the current starting quarterback.

Their time together was marred by dysfunction, the likes of which seemed to have been reserved for the Dan Snyder administration in Washington

It all began with a straightforward tweet regarding the Philadelphia Eagles, but the dirt was hurled with uncommon intensity, and few would have thought the two were on good terms.

Gruden began by apologizing to any quarterback he might have pressed on a night like the one the Eagles' Jalen Hurts had in their 32-9 loss. Griffin jumped in less than half an hour after that.

Griffin attempted to go for the kill by claiming that the coach had informed him he couldn't train a dual-threat quarterback like him, in response to Gruden's query about whether or not he actually did not prepare Griffin for pass rushes.

In his response, which came the next morning, Gruden appeared to admit that Griffin wasn't the perfect fit for him, placed the blame on his coaching staff, and extended a best wish. It may have ended there. It looked like that was it. There was more to come.
